Hollywood
Beach, Florida --
2501 N Ocean Dr |
|
Built
in 1969, the Hollywood Beach location was almost directly on the
Atlantic Ocean -- only the concrete "boardwalk" separated
it from the beach. While it was a blocky almost unattractive high-rise,
it featured standard Howard Johnson's guest rooms and a classic
"T" style Restaurant facing North Ocean Drive. There was
never a Gate Lodge or separate lobby. |

Jumping
ahead, these photos show the Restaurant after it had been
closed and the Motor Lodge in limbo while it operated as
the Hollywood Beach Inn.
