 Naples, Florida

Situated immediately along U.S. 41, the famous Tamiami Trail, Naples was ideally sited to entice passing motorists to stop and have a meal or spend the night!

When opened in 1961, the Motor Lodge featured "60 spacious rooms planned for gracious living, all air-conditioned and heated, private phones, patios, balconies, inside and outside entrances"--what a place!

Mike stayed at the Naples Motor Lodge back in 1972. He said that back then "Naples was a quiet small town." For him and his family, Howard Johnson's was always their favorite. Thanks, Mike, for sharing your terrific photos and memories of HoJo's!
