Although
heavily stuccoed, Perry's guest buildings survived relatively
true-to-form until the middle 2000s (note that the swimming pool
was likely replaced during the 1980s). Unfortunately a ruinous
remodeling project begun in 2007 will render the buildings unsightly.
Sliders will have been replaced with windows and the patios and
balconies eliminated. The shoddily done renovations will end up
being the once proud HoJo's downfall. With newer hotels in the
area who will stop at such a hideous sight--the former Motor Lodge
will sadly sink into oblivion. |
