Spacious & Gracious
The rooms were the largest of any regular motel rooms I have ever seen--about 20 feet wide! Originally the privacy screen extended so that it blocked all but a passageway to the door. The beds were placed along the privacy screen rather than along the regular wall! Additionally the ceiling's beams ran perpendicular to a normal Howard Johnson's guest room's!!
