It was shocking to discover the hollowed out remains of Tallahasse-East back in 2002. What had once been the Epitome of Modernity had been reduced to near rubble. Its site prepped for demolition lingered in its nether state for about nearly four years before finally being razed.

Nothing remained of the former Howard Johnson's by early 2006, and a Miller's Ale House and Lone Star Steakhouse were built on its site.
