Effort had been made
to update the guest rooms, and my single room was comfortable
and adequate. However it was easy to see that the property
was slipping. Stairwells were dirty and "beat up."
Rubber treads were missing from the stairs and the walls needed
a fresh coat of paint.
If not for the rather
high cost of the room, I would have been happy to overlook all
of the minor flaws. At any rate, Macon-North is well worth a
visit before it is unduly altered. And the continental breakfast
offered eggs so I was happy overall!!
