Champaign, Illinois -- 222 N State St

Opened in the Fall of 1971, the Champaign property briefly operated as the State Street Hotel before the Robeson family converted it in 1997 into an un-official dormitory for students attending Parkland College. Re-christened Robeson Hall, the former HoJo's Motor Lodge was reportedly closed in 2006.

Former Motor Lodges in Boston, Washington D.C., Savannah, Harrisonburg, and Sarasota have also served as student housing.
