Postcards circa 1970: Kummerlowe

Initially Corbin's Restaurant was a modern modified Nims-type which faced Cumberland Falls Highway. Perhaps the original building was destroyed by fire, for a late 1970s Mansard-type came to occupy its spot and was oriented to the Motor Lodge entrance rather than to the highway.

Corbin's Restaurant lasted until 1986. Amazingly retaining its Orange Mansard, the site was converted into a Jerry's with few alterations. By 2004 it had been converted into a local eatery with an Irish theme and more recently is believed to have become a Mexican restaurant.
