Corbin,
Kentucky --1891
Cumberland Falls Highway |
|
The
Corbin complex opened in the fall of 1970. The Motor Lodge ceased
being a Howard Johnson's in about 1984. It was subsequently renamed
the Landmark Inn (Once a Landmark, always a Landmark?).
While
in the Corbin area be sure to check out the Harland
Sanders Cafe museum where Kentucky Fried Chicken originated.

Taking
advantage of the topography, Corbin's guest building offered rooms
on three levels facing the highway and in two on the back side. |
