After 1993 the Motor Lodge became the South Bay Hotel, and was eventually converted into a Holiday Inn Express.

The Restaurant became a Bickford's Family Restaurant. Little changed, it was very like being in a HoJo's. However a shift in management during the early 2000s caused Bickford's to largely abandon its tried-and-true format converting its concept into Bickfords Grill. In the process, menu prices were dramatically increased alienating core patrons. Meanwhile as customers avoided the "new" Bickford's, dozens of its restaurants were closed as sales dwindled.
