Likely opened in 1967,
this former Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge amazingly still retains
many of its original HJ architectural elements! Save for its
green roof, the Gate Lodge still had its tower and Lamplighter
when Mr. Holbrook captured these shots.
Thankfully this former
Motor Lodge has not been stuccoed over or squared off!
