Now known as The Inn at
Plymouth Bay, the property looks to have been spared at least
partial demolition by highway projects over the years. If you
view the image at the bottom of this page and this one, you can observe that just in front of
the Gate Lodge a highway has been constructed that is elevated
and looks dangerously close to the front entrance to the GL.
The sign, show in the
detail below, is the original Howard Johnson's sign frame that
would have once displayed the "Orange Roof" logo. Interestingly
the sign still shows the original HJ "registration."
