The modified Nims-type restaurant building only retained a small portion of its Orange Roof after the 1960s but gained a modernistic spire/cupola complete with fins and a Simple Simon and the Pieman weathervane.The Lake George restaurant is the last of the DeSantis empire. Once the DeSantis family led by, Joe and Carl DeSantis, owned six Howard Johnson's and a Red Coach Grill.
