The
Greening of Dunn: While The
property survived as a Howard Johnson's largely unaltered
until the late 1980s, it was then leased to various operators
by the Fitchetts until they ultimately sold the site. Never
heavily remodeled, the Motor Lodge nonetheless endured
a number of cosmetic changes. Painted green in the middle
2000s, North Carolina's last largely unaltered Gate Lodge
will have seen its final color change and most probably
be demolished during 2008. |
