2000's standards, the Dunn Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge
was a sprawling complex! It offered guests a refreshing,
revitalizing, and relaxing park-like setting unlike the
current era's "cracker box" look-alike multi-story
roadside hotels. Moreover the facility was immediately convenient
and right along the Interstate. Of the original outdoor
amenities featured in Dunn's green space that survived until
its demise were the swimming pool, shuffleboard court, and
children's play area. |
