Dunn's single level guest buildings built with floor-to ceiling windows rather than sliders were Howard Johnson's standard from the late 1950s until the time of Dunn. The units at Dunn were the last best surviving examples of those that had been constructed, and they exemplified the work of Rufus Nims and Howard Johnson Corporate designers and architects.
