In the Orange Twilight: Bob Venditti's 2006 overnight at the Dunn Motor Lodge proved to be a last chance visit. Mr. Venditti said that he had the place nearly all to himself, but he sadly observed that upkeep and general maintenance had ceased. While checking out the grounds he happened upon a sign advertising the four acre site for sale.

While the original 36 rooms in the ground level buildings featured familiar Howard Johnson's amenities and were refreshed over the years, they never offered guests pamper panels. However it should be noted that Dunn's later 24 room two-story addition did include the bedside innovation.
