Arriving after dark back in December of 2001, it was quite a rare treat to have been greeted with the illuminated Orange roof across the front of the Motor Lodge and former Restaurant.

Nearly completely intact--even exterior light fixtures were authentically Howard Johnson's! Moreover the large Mansard lobby featured its circa 1974 mileage indicator unit--"How far to the next HoJo's Please!" The Restaurant while it had been decommissioned and was no longer full-service, maintained some of its atmosphere. Most remarkable intact was the Dairy Bar and cantilevered stools.
