When North Randall opened,
it was an historic even for the Howard Johnson Company. It was
the 100th Motor Lodge, and opened in 1960 with a gala ribbon
cutting ceremony.
Local dignitaries as
well as Howard Johnson Company executives attended the opening
of the licensed (franchised) Motor Lodge.
