 Shamrock Motel
U.S. 40 in Licking County, Ohio East of Columbus

 

No doubt, the Shamrock represents an early roadside tourist court, and the current proprietor told Phil Edwards when he stopped there in 2003 that the Shamrock was the first motel in Ohio. Perhaps it may have been the first to use "motel."
