Harrisburg, Pennsylvania -- 473 Eisenhower Blvd

Located only a mile-and-a-half from the Pennsylvania Turnpike and the Turnpike's headquarters, the Harrisburg complex was opened in 1965. It was built in the classic Motor Lodge configuration with a signature A-Frame Gate Lodge and Nims-type Restaurant fronting the property.

As time past and demand increased the Motor Lodge received additional guest buildings with the location eventually offering as many as 176 rooms.

Be forewarned, this section recognizing Harrisburg includes eight pages, brief commentary, a short video (on youtube), and nearly 100 images.
