Above & Lower: Although painted and changed from its original appearance, the A-frame Gate Lodge at Harrisburg is one of the two last largely original examples of the hundreds that were built.

Left & Below: Howard Johnson's officially celebrated its 75th anniversary as a brand in the year 2000, and Cendant/Howard Johnson International created the commemorative framed poster seen below to mark the happy occasion. The owners of the Harrisburg Motor Lodge proudly displayed it in the Gate Lodge along with the many awards that their location has won over the years.
