Once a Howard Johnson Corporate location, the Restaurant became owned by Marriott after 1985. Located in an excellent market for the brand, Marriott retained the Restaurant's Howard Johnson name. In the early 1990s it was sold or transferred to FAI. Surprisingly the location received a well done orange awning and FAI's Canton inspired arch. Unfortunately the interior was not upgraded.

Apparently FAI owned the attached cocktail lounge, and it seemed to do a thriving business. The very young, but somewhat abrasive, girl who was the manager could not appreciate my interest and asked me not to take pictures of the dining room (even though there were no other patrons).
