Perhaps the Motor Lodge should have just been demolished. Conversion into a Motel 6 completely destoryed the Howard Johnson's.

As a Motel 6, the location was rendered stark, cold, and prison- like in appearence.

It makes me shiver and shudder just to look at these pictures again.

 
 
Retention of the second floor beamed cathedral ceiling does not even redeem the Motel 6. Each building looks like a cell block with its several guests held prisoner.

Not much appealing remains at the former site of Warwick's once highly touted Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge, Restaurant, and Red Coach Grill complex.
