Among
the first batch of Nims-types in Virginia, Danville likely opened
in 1952. Built on the south side of the city it was well-sited to
capture motorists headed in or out of town. Moreover it was assured
of patrons by virtue of its proximity to the AAA rated and Duncan
Hines recommended Wayside Motor Court.
