Located
at 38th & Atlantic Ave. along the ocean front, Virginia
Beach was not too far from the Chesapeake
Bay Bridge- Tunnel. Opened in 1972, the Motor Lodge
featured 177 rooms in its eight floors. The property came
to be owned by Southeastern Association Inc. which also
owned several other Virginia Motor Lodges including Danville
which was the last standardized unit in Virginia.
