By 2002 when Phil Edwards made his way back
to this Motor Lodge many changes had been made to say the least!
He determined that the 'Ranch" Gate Lodge was where the
Waffle House and Days Inn lobby are now located.
Likely the biggest change has occurred to the
restaurant. It is now called the Mouse Trap and features adult-entertainment
for men! While it is very difficult to tell, it is the original
building--just heavily disguised. Phil discovered that behind
the facade the original porcelain roof tiles are still extant
although painted white.
