| The
restaurant became a local landmark and an important part of the
community -- it was a place where social and service clubs and
other community organizations gathered and held meetings or just
a great place for people to eat, get together, talk, and enjoy
life. Both the Restaurant and Motor Lodge were built and owned
by Irving Spaulding and remained in the Spaulding family until
1990 when Bruce R. Spaulding sold the complex to Fred and Nancy
Litcoff.
