Opened in 1977, the Coxsackie Restaurant was closed by 1982. It was one of a dozen or so that were opened as free-standing units in the late 1970s when the Howard Johnson Company made one last attempt to revive the Orange Roof concept.

Jack said that while it was difficult to spot from the Thruway, it ccould have been seen more easily from the toll booths.
