The Gate Lodge is a pure "A" frame, with the entire 4" x 6" Douglas fir roof decking carried on four 8" x 16" laminated wood arch legs which meet at the apex. Eight 4" x 16" laminated roof beams are fastened toward the bottom of the arch legs and form the four gables of the building.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Anything But Deluxe ...
Located just a few exits up from the Dallas Market Hall, Trade Mart, World Trade Center, Infomart, International Apparel Mart, and scores of elaborate hotels, businesses and convention facilities, 1989 was the last year that the Market Center Motor Lodge could boast the Howard Johnson name.
