The restaurant, managed
by Al Coonradt since 1987, operates with an enthusiastic staff.
Because it also houses the Black Bear Pub, it remains a profitable
venture.
The former Motor Lodge
retains only a small amount of its original character. While
the indoor pool, cathedral ceilings, and basic room layouts remain
the same, alterations to the guest bathrooms and the destruction
of the Gate Lodge render the property much less desirable as
a place to spend the night.
