Once Gold, but
now painted in vivid colors, Simple Simon and the Pieman still
greet hungry patrons at the Springfield HoJo's! This is the last
restaurant to still display the fiberglass logo from the 1960's
(Waterbury displays an older model). In addition to being the
last restaurant to display the logo in fiberglass, Springfield
is the second to last Howard Johnson's to proudly fly the Simple
Simon weather vane atop a cupola-tower (Lake George still has
its 1960's version). |
