The Dairy Bar,
providing everything from fountain service to a complete meal,
was another innovation of Howard Johnson's when it was included
inside their full-service restaurants--soon others copied the
invention! |
A small portrait of Howard
Johnson himself can be seen in the photograph above, gazing proudly
over the Dairy Bar--it may be the last restaurant in which he
still maintains a watchful eye! |

The tables perched on the
window sill above do not belong. Perhaps they were placed there
to increase the smoking area's capicity? |
