Built within the
town limits of Lake Placid, an extremely ridiculous sign ordinance
precluded a backlit sign for the motor Lodge. Instead flood lights
had to be aimed at it for night time illumination. The restaurant
was built just over the line and its sign didn't have to meet
the same oppressive guidelines. |
