Featuring "Howard
Johnson's" in its correct font, the street sign also includes
a unique version of Simple Simon and the Pieman. The sign was
placed in the same position as the original Trapezoid sign. |

Ron Butler was
an active member of the Howard Johnson's Agents Council and served
in several leadership positions on its board. He continued to
be active in promoting Howard Johnson's even after the Company
ceased to exist.
He was one of the key
franchisees in 1985-'86 who fashioned Franchise Associates Incorporated
(FAI), and served on its board as a Member-at-Large on the Executive
Committee. Thus Mr. Butler became an OWNER of FAI and
directed it as a board member.
